I’m incredibly nosey and hate having my photo taken. Two things not normally considered ‘skills’ but I find the first helps me develop rapport with my subject and the second means I work in an empathetic and considerate way, often finding ways of making the most reluctant sitter comfortable in front of the camera. I also enjoy small conversations as they often lead to much bigger ones. My work often explores the connection between people and place.

I’ve been photographing people for about 10 years, before that I worked as an illustrator and graphic designer so am well versed in the importance of budget and deadline.
