yorkshire day

The SUN Awards recently travelled to London to feature in Yorkshire Day. The event was promoted by the development agency Yorkshire Forward and took place in the public area of Elmwood’s offices off Soho Square.

“Yorkshire has always been renowned for its creative talent, from Henry Moore to the Brontes, David Hockney to Ted Hughes, J B Priestly to Damien Hirst. So we thought we’d take the opportunity to put together a day long event that brings together a diverse range of individuals and organisations who are either based in Yorkshire or who have Yorkshire roots to celebrate the creative diversity of the county, discover new ideas, make new connections, and, most importantly to have fun…see a variety of exhibitions, from a range of photographic works from the SUN Awards to ‘Experience TV’, a collection of nostalgic and iconic TV moments compiled by the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television, to a showcase of local northern talent from Yorkshire Forward.”
